What you see when you look at me,
depends on who you are and who you’ll be.

If you are a stranger, what you might see
are blonde hair, green eyes, glasses and that’s all.

If you know me a little better,
you see what I want to show:
humour, a smile, trying to get by.

If you like me, then you might even perceive
intelligence, beauty and you might think I’m nice.

But if you know me, you’ll see
strength and pain and all that I want to be.

And if you are me,
what you see is
flaws and scars
pain and a past
and at last:
hope for a future
where you won’t see
who nobody thinks you to be.
